Examples from Work

These are samples or projects I have worked on in the "real world," compared to the projects I worked on in the Project Management and UX certificate courses.

I am always tinkering around websites, apps or programs, and look for ways to improve or make things easier. These are a couple proposals to improve our workflow process and staff engagement as a mostly remote team.

Workflow Processing

After major changes to position requirements, free ECE foundational courses and new funding to make our Childcare Workforce Registry free, there was a significant increase in workload.

As a problem solver I am always brainstorming ways to improve processes, make systems more efficient and make sure our members and stakeholders needs are being fulfilled. 

I presented possible solutions to the areas of our team that needed to be improved. The ideas I proposed that were implemented are: 

  • Adjusting the phone schedule to allow more time to dedicate to workflow.

  • Looking ahead to major projects or events and forecasting them more often at weekly staff meetings.

  • 4th Quarter urgency meeting.

Results: ​

  • Improved workflow processing time by 3 weeks in the 4th quarter.

  • Exceeded our processing goal by 2 days.
